The naphtha-based power plant over Tannirbhavi where the Gurupura river meets the Arabian Sea, promoted by Euro India Power Canara Pvt Ltd recently conducted a public hearing to register objections agains the project. This project promoted by a consortium is one of the four barge mounted power projects to come up along the Karnataka coastline for which the Karnataka government had invited bids four years ago.
