Ayurvedic physicians are now successfully treating cancer patients with new drugs they have formulated. They are claiming "at least 65 per cent success" in treating 73 patients, suffering from various types of cancer. Doctors at the Ashtvaidyan Ayurveda Foundation - an NGO dedicated to spreading the system of medicine all over the globe - have called for a greater role for the traditional system of medicine in the coutry's health care system.
