Lok Upbhokta Parishad president Vidyadhar Shukla has demanded the administration to ban irrigation by Khan river water. In a release, Shukla said that the polluted water from industrial units of the city containing hazardous chemicals like mercury, calcium, cyanide, mixes into the Khan river polluting its water too.
