Bangladesh is unlikely to get its due share of the Ganges water during the lean period in 1999 as stipulated in the long-term treaty. The 30-year Indo-Bangladesh water sharing treaty enters its third year. Experts said the flow of water may reduce considerably in the months of February and March next year due to scanty rainfall in the catchment area in the Himalayas in November.
