three forest officials charge-sheeted: Three officers of the Indian Forest Service have been chargesheeted for their alleged involvement in the Bastar tree and land scandal (Malik Makbuja) in Madhya Pradesh.Large-scale felling of trees was carried out illegally by the timber mafia, in collusion with bureaucrats and politicians in Bastar, Madhya Pradesh, during the past few years. The Supreme Court had asked the Lokayukta Madhya Pradesh to probe the scandal. When the Digvijay Singh ministry failed to take any action against those accused, the Supreme Court asked the CBI to investigate the matter.
