Beijing plans to use its abundant scientific resources to develop a local Human Gene Research Project, according to an official with the Beijing Science and Technology Commission. The commission has organized a group of academicians from the China Academy of Science (CAS) and the China Engineering Academy and renowned scientists from other institutes for in-depth discussions concerning implementation of the project.
