West Bengal has cleared the formation of an inter-ministerial group to coordinate with the site selection committee under the Department of Atomic Energy for setting up a nuclear power plant in the state. Bengal, Bihar and Orissa are in the race to bag the project. Writers' Buildings sources confirmed that the file containing the proposal for the formation of this high powered committee has been vetted and cleared by power minister Mrinal Banerjee.
