The West Bengal Government has been sanctioned Rs 43.50 crore by the Centre for the implementation of an accelerated power development programme (APDP), following its signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Centre on May 5. Out of this amount, Rs 21.75 crore is as grant as Rs 21.75 is as loan.
