The Public Health Department has taken a series of measures to augment the drinking water supply in the old section of Sonepat in view of the hue and cry by the residents living in this part of the city. According to a report, the department plans to construct a new overhead tank with a capacity of 25,000 gallons of water at Mohalla Kot where the old overhead tank exists with a capacity of 15,000 gallons.
