BHEL-Bhopal has recently commissioned Optimum Control System at the 2x28MW lower scheme of Sungai Piah project in Malaysia. This unique system aims at optimum utilisation of intake water which is necessay in hydro power plants having small water reservoirs and those employing run of river schemes. This inhouse development ensures optimum power generation so as to maintain the intake water level within specified safe limits.
