Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd's (BHEL-ER) eastern region outfit has fanned out to newer areas of operation, to counter the slow-down in conventional business areas. Elaborating, the release said that BHEL-ER, in 2000-01, was awarded a Rs 96-lakh AMC for tube mills at the Mejia Thermal Power Station of Damodar Valley Corporation, to improve the plant's efficiency.
