Oil prices are higher than they have been in years, but that hasn't stopped 30 scientists at BP Amoco PLC from trying to develop alternative energy sources at an industrial park in Toano, Virginia. The scientists are working on solar panels that could one day cover the south facing sides of office towers as a building material.
