Bihar Govt. clears three power projects

The Bihar Government has cleared three ambitious power projects with a cumulative generation capacity of 5000 MW in its endeavour to improve power scenario and promote industrial activity, the Governor Mr. Sunder Singh Bhandari, said. Mr. Bhandari told journalists that the projects involving an estimated Rs.20,000 crores include 2000 MW each thermal power stations at Barh in Patna district and North Karanpura in Chatra district to be executed by the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).
