To make integrated rural development possible in the city, the Delhi government has constituted the Delhi Rural Development Board. Speaking on the plans of the Delhi government to bridge the rural and urban divide, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit promised that the budgetary allocation of Rs 72 crores for the Rural Development Board would be utilized fully by the end of March 2003.
