Sindh Governor Moinuddin Haider has formed a high-level committee to look into the issue of grant of licence for petroleum exploration to a multinational company in the Kirthar National Park. The committee, headed by the chief secretary, and consisting of representatives of Premier Exploration Pakistan Ltd (PEPL), various government departments and non-governmental organizations, would submit its recommendations to the governor, who will then take a decision on the issue.
