BP Amoco could lose five percent of earnings from petrol sales in a long term switchover to green fuel technology as United Nations carbon dioxide (CO2) emission targets are enforced, a study by financial advisors Innovest for Greenpeace said. The report from the U.S-based environmental finance and investment analysts published on Wednesday examined the oil major's vulnerability to moves to ease global greenhouse gas emissions and other factors such as competition from low carbon technologies.
