Breast cancer drug approved in U.S.

The government decided that healthy women who have a very high risk of getting breast cancer later in life can take the powerful drug tamoxifen to cut their odds of a tumor. The action by the Food and Drug Administration makes tamoxifen the first medicine ever approved to reduce women's risk of breast cancer, but it's a very controversial drug. Tamoxifen can cause life-threatening side effects.
