Commercial complexes and huge shopping malls in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, which are dependent on ground water for their daily needs, will soon have to pay a hefty amount if the Delhi Government can see a Bill to this effect through the Assembly. The draft ground water Bill, which is expected to be introduced in the Delhi Assembly in the Budget Session, envisages amending the Delhi Water Board Act to regulate the extraction of ground water.
