In tune with its objective of rendering all services to the citizens locally and creating 'a Village Government,' the State Government has decided to merge the panchayat and revenue services at the gram panchayat level. Under the new set-up, cleared by the cabinet, the village will be administered by Secretary, Gram Panchayat.
