While it looks like most Californians and the state's key hydropower plants will have enough water to get through the year, hydrologists warned on Monday that farmers in the Central Valley might not be so fortunate. "Most areas of California will be OK, like the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles," Jonas Minton, Deputy Director of the California Department of Water Resources (DWR), said prior to a gathering Monday of state water officials in Sacramento.
