California may face new energy crisis

The Bush administration delivered another slap in the face of California yesterday with a move to force the state to use a fuel additive that cold increase the cost of a gallon of petrol by 3 cents. The state, already stung by the highest motor fuel prices in the United States, could face a new energy crisis as a result of Bush's refusal to rein in soaring wholesale electricity prices.
