Cancer among Indian women on the rise, says latest study

Every year thousands of Indian women fall prey to easily preventible cancers through ignorance and neglect say specialists. "Eighty per cent of the women who seek treatment for oral, cervical or breast cancer are already at the third or fourth stage when little can be done for them," said Dr Vinod Kochupillai, head of the Institute Rotary Cancer Hospital at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences here.
