The Rural Development Ministry will provide Rs.1,000 crores for the construction of 5,500 km of rural roads in Chhattisgarh. An additional Central assistance of Rs.14 crores will also be given for construction of rural houses under the Indira Aawas Yojna in the flood-affected areas.
