CERC to study Hirma project

Decks have been cleared for the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) to examine the 3,960 MW Orissa-based Hirma mega power project following the Standing Independent Group's (SIG) recent decision to approve the project tariff.This will be the first project to be scrutinised by the Central power regulator and involve a public hearing to elicit the consumer's response on the price of power from the project.
