Challenge to EBRD over nuclear-plant study

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is facing serious criticism over the quality of a a study of its biggest loan project-$159m loan to Ukraine to build two nuclear power plants. Greenpeace, the environmental pressure group, which studied an EBRD-commissioned report on the comparative costs of a planned nuclear power project in Ukraine and a conventional power project, has questioned the report's conclusion that the nuclear project would be cheaper.
