Greater Mysore Chamber of Industry (GMCI) has opposed the proposed Energy Conservation Bill 2000, claiming that there was no need for it. It also decried the creation of a body called Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) with its headquarters in Delhi and offices at other places.
