Rajkot municipal corporation authorities have started spraying chemicals on the water in the Bhadar dam to prevent its evaporation. This is being done to preserve as much water as possible as most sources of water for Rajkot city have dried up. However, according to some RMC sources this is a rather desperate move to prevent an imminent water crisis in the city. They pointed out that despite all efforts there was just not enough water to last even till February.
