Greenpeace criticised the delay in the closure of Chenobyl nuclear reactor. The Ukrainian authorities announced that the last operating reactor at the Chernobyl nuclear power station would run until November-another 8 months. However the decaying reactor has had ongoing technical problems, and its continued operation increases the risk of another catastrophe reactor failure at the ill fated nuclear-warned the international environmental group.
