China plans to cut coal production by 250 million tons this year

China is planning to expand coal export while cutting coal production by 250 million tons to 1.1 billion tons this year in a bid to reduce the huge stockpiles and achieve balance between coal and supply and demand. Large state-owned coal mines, the backbone of the coal industry, will produce according to market demand, adjust their product mix and lower production cost.
