The world's first tidal power station will be built in the Zhoushan Islands areas of east coastal China's Zhejiang Province, the Zhejiang Provincial Bureau of Oceanography. The Zhoushan Islands have one of the world's richest tidal energy sources, and the site is determined after two years of investigations by Chinese and foreign experts, according to the bureau.
