China has set a target of meeting energy resource demands by the year 2010 to guarantee rapid economic and social development, according to a senior State Planning Commission official. China will establish an energy resource storage system and have rational regional distribution in the coming years and will work on improving science and technology and the harmonious development of energy resources and the environmental protection.
