Citing health risk, E.P.A. cuts sulfur in diesel fuel

The Environmental Protection Agency in U.S. has decided to reduce sharply the level of sulfur allowed in diesel fuel, calling diesel emissions an important health hazard. The prospect of a new rule, which will probably be announced in a few months, has opened a vigorous debate between the oil industry and state officials, not about whether to cut sulfur levels, but how much.
