Citizens to get adequate Narmada water: Gaur

The State Government has fulfilled the long-cherished demand of citizens of Bhopal by completing Narmada Water Augmentation project. Now, the citizens will get adequate supply of drinking water. Addressing various programmes in connection with his 82nd birth day in the city here today, Urban Administration and Development Minister Babulal Gaur said that the citizens would be provided Narmada water. On the occasion of his birthday, several programmes were organised at different places like Sant Hirdaram Ashram, Sai Viklang-Anath Sewa Ashram Bairagarh Kalan, Gufa Mandir, Nariyal Kheda Square, Alok Press Talaiya and Yadavpura Berkhedi. Urban Administration Minister said that the old city would also be developed at par with new Bhopal. Streets and lakes in old city will be spruced up. Firstly, Gaur reached the Samadhi of Sant Hirdaram Nagar where he offered floral tributes to the saint. The Minister said that he draws immense energy whenever he visits this Samadhi. Gaur offered packets of food and fruits to the beggars. Soon after it, he moved to Sai Viklang Anath Sewa Ashram where he distributed school bags, packets of food and fruits to the orphan children. Director of Ashram M.P. Awasthy and others accorded a warm welcome to Gaur by presenting bouquets. Gaur lauded the efforts of Ashram for its social management and announced a sum of Rs. one lakh from his MLA fund. Later, the Urban Administration Minister Gaur performed pooja at Gufa Mandir as per rites at Lal Ghati and sought blessing from Chandrama Das. Gaur distributed fruits to the devotees in the temple. Madhya Pradesh Sports Council Vice President Om Yadav, former MLA Gaurishankar Kaushal, Nanakram, Makhan Rajput, Sushil Waswani, Rajesh Hingorani, Jagdish Yadav, Dheeraj Yadav, Shahid Bhai, Sanjeev Gupta, Dinesh Yadav and citizens were present in large number on the occasion.
