In a major step towards the disposal and scientific utilization of municipal soild waste (MWS) of Guwahati and its nearby towns, the Sarbanad Impex Pvt Ltd (SIPL) is setting up a project at Sarusajaj near Lokhra in the city at the cost of Rs 85 crore to generate steam and electricity by processing the heat derived from MSW.
