The Tatas will be the new partners of CLP Power International (CLPP) in the 1.000-MW Mangalore Power Project. Tata Electric Company (TEC) replaces Cogentrix Energy Inc, which walked out of the controversial Rs. 4,000-crore-coal-fired project that has been hanging fire for over seven years.
