Delhi government is seriously considering a legislation to dispose off e-waste.This was discussed in a meeting held by Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit with officials from urban development department and the MCD recently. An estimated of 30 metric tonnes (MT) of e-waste is dumped in the city. This includes electronic goods like televisions, personal computers, floppies, CDs, batteries, mobile phones, refrigerators and dryers.
