Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today arrived in this town of Faridkot district where at least one dozen persons have died of diarrhoea due to tbe contamination of water. Soon after his arrival, he went to the bereaved families who had lost their kith and kin. He went from house to house and consoled and delivered cheque of Rs 50,000 to each of the families as grant by the state government. The Chief Minister immediately ordered the suspension of the Senior Medical Officer, Civil Hospital , Kotkapura, for her alleged negligence and showing indifference to the situation.
