In an attempt to provide the necessary impetus and focus for ensuring effective monitoring of various rural development programmes at the grassroot level, the rural development ministry will hold a conference of chief ministers here on July 7. This was decided at a meeting convened by rural development minister Kashiram Rana to review the Swarna Jayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY).
