Contrary to popular perception, compressed natural gas-run vehicles do not reduce pollution and in fact emit more carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide as compared to 0.05 per cent ultra low sulphur diesel run Euro-II vehicles, says a study conducted by IIT, Delhi.
