HC order for CBI probe quashed: The Supreme Court today set aside a judgement of the Karnataka High Court directing a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation into alleged kickbacks paid in connection with the 1000-MW Mangalore Power Project proposed to be set up by the U.S. concern, Cogentrix, and a Hong Kong-based concern, China Light and Power Company.
