HC notice to eco ministry: The Karnataka High Court has ordered issue of notice to the Ministry of Environment and Forests on a contempt petition filed by the Janajagriti Samithi and the environment support group. They have alleged violation of the High Court's order in directing the Ministry of Environment and Forests to take into consideration the report of DANIDA and NEERI on the proposed 1,000 MW thermal power plant of the Mangalore Power Company Power project (Cogentrix Project).
