The rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R) process for the hundreds of families to be displaced by the 1,000 MW Cogentrix power plant to come up in the vicinity of Nandikur near Mangalore began with the demolition of nearly 150 huts and the eviction of a few hundred people in a village called Belapu amidst tight police security.
