The Government constituted a high-level committee headed by the Water Resources Secretary to continue the consultative process on inter-linking of rivers (ILR) cocept. The committee will have Secretaries of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and Environment and Forests besides 10 other well-known Environmentalists, social scientists and other experts as members.
