Concerns at poor water management

The most 'disquieting feature' of the present Indian agriculture scenario, particularly in the Gujarat region, is the unwise water management in irrigation, said Dr M.H. Mehta, Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Agriculture University (GAU). He told reporters here that with depleting traditional water resources as well and natural resources including water canals providing irrigation system in the wake of changing scenario of monsoon seasons.
