Confusion over Kerala LNG project

The fate of the liquefied natural gas terminal at Kochi by a consortium of public sector oil and gas companies, has suddenly been rendered uncertain. A latest communication from the Union Minister of State for Energy, Prof. Y.K.Alagh, to the State Government that Kochi is "under consideration" for a terminal has created confusion in official circles here. For, the Government has all along been under the impression that the proposal had already been finalised.
