For the first time since unleaded petrol was introduced in Delhi, reports have shown that Delhi's ambient air quality has improved. Minister for Environment and Forests Suresh Prabhu said. "Concerted efforts by both the enviornment as well as Petroleum Ministry have resulted in this breakthrough as shown by independent reports," Mr Prabhu said inaugurating the oil conservation fortnight in New Delhi.
