A construction company in Thailand has been accused of dumping soil contaminated with Agent Orange on private land. In a complaint lodged with Hua Hin police, Khunnawut Orsuwan, chairman of the local administration organisation, alleged the construction company undertaking an airport extension project had dumped dioxin-contaminated soil on a plot of land owned by Suchai Orsuwan. He said the contaminated soil had been covered with layers of asphalt. Chemicals found buried under Bo Fai airstrip at Hua Hin have been proven by experts to be a toxic defoliant used during the Vietnam war.
