Amidst strident protests from opposition members the controversial Bill seeking establishment of a Central electricity regulatory commission and electricity commissions in states was introduced in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. Speaker G M C Balayogi permitted the introduction of the Bill by a voice vote, overruling the objections raised by the opposition.
