The curtain came down today on a three-year drama which brought together bitterly opposed groups that would normally have found it impossible to be even civil to each other. But in a spirit of not just civility, but almost cordiality, the last meeting of the forum, which consisted of "stakeholders", or different sides in the debate on the future or large dams, concluded with a resolve to find some way of continuing to work together for the next two years.
