Karnataka has yet again urged the Union government to extend counter-guarantee to the Rs 4,000 crore, 1,000 MW Cogentrix Thermal Power Project, near Mangalore, maintaining that a decision on it cannot be linked to a corruption case pending before the Supreme Court.
